Indoor Games Ideas
1. Hopscotch
Materials:
- Paper tape
- Or fun glow in the dark tape
- Old socks
Check out Dollar Tree for a few supplies for this project!
Instructions:
Step 1 – First, take your paper tape and tape a hopscotch table onto your floor, as shown in our video tutorial.
Step 2 – Then, number your hopscotch squares 1-7, however, you can add more squares if you have the space. The more the merrier.
Step 3 – Lastly, take some old socks and get hopping!
If you’re playing this indoor game, adults only, make it a little more interesting with shots instead of old socks. New drinking game? You’re welcome. Drink responsibly ladies.
2. Web Corridor
Materials:
- Twine
- Scissors
- Painting tape
Instructions:
Step 1 – Take your twine and tape and begin taping strings of twine from wall to wall in your corridor, mimicking a spider web.
Step 2 – Now, you and the kids can weave yourselves through the ‘web’. If you touch the twine, you have to start over!

3. Paper Worms
Materials:
- Colored paper
- Scissors
- Straws (we used metal straws as they are eco-friendly)
- Pen
Instructions:
Step 1 – Take your colored paper and scissors, and cut out a strip, approximately an inch wide.
Step 2 – Fold your strip of colored paper in half, then unfold it, and refold to the crease we just made. Next, make another fold to the same crease.
Step 3 – Repeat on the other side.
Step 4 – Then, take your scissors and begin to cut the outside of your folded colored paper, giving it rounded edges.
Step 5 – Next, unfold your colored paper worm and draw a face on one end with your pen.
Step 6 – Make as many paper worms as you like, with different colored paper.
Step 7 – Take your straw and blow on the end of your paper worms, racing each other!
If the kids just aren’t interested in each game, try combining them all together to create an obstacle course/race for the kids to compete! See our video tutorial for reference.
