If you don’t want your high-end eyeshadow being sacrificed to the chaos that is playtime, and want the comfort of knowing what’s inside your kid’s eyeshadow, read on to find out how to make your very own edible eyeshadow for kids!
Edible Eyeshadow for Kids
What You’ll Need:
- ½ tsp of cornstarch.
- ½ tsp of powdered sugar.
- 1-2 drops of food coloring.
- 1-2 drops of water.
What To Do:
Step 1 – Take your mixing bowl and add ½ teaspoon of cornstarch.
Step 2 – Next add ½ teaspoon of powdered sugar to your mixing bowl.
Step 3 – Next add 1-2 drops of food coloring.
Step 4 – Add 1-2 drops of water to your mixture.
Step 5 – Mix it all together!
Step 6 (optional) – If you aren’t satisfied with the intensity of the color you can add more drops of food coloring.

Important Notes and Tips
- If you want lighter/brighter color, add more cornstarch and more drops of water (½ tsp cornstarch = 1 drop of water).
- REMEMBER don’t add more sugar powder and water (it will turning icy and you won’t get the powdery effect that a real eyeshadow has.
- If the color is more intense, there is a greater chance it will be more visible once applied to the skin.
